There is much to see in the maritime city of Hull,
from all the attractions of the lively and colourful waterfront,
to the historic heart of the old town.
The Museums Quarter brings together four museums,
the Hull & East Riding Museum, Streetlife Hull's transport
museum, Wilberforce House birthplace to William Wilberforce famous
for the abolition of slavery and the Arctic Corsair a 1960's sidewinder
trawler where visitors get a real insight into a working life
at sea.
There is major regeneration ongoing in the city
centre, alongside major attractions like The Deep and Ferens Art
Gallery there are new shopping centres, hotels, restaurants and
with improved city centre living, cafe culture has arrived.
Located on the corner of Ferensway & Anlaby
Road, the major junction in the city centre, Kavanaghs, Hull was
formerly known as Peaberry's . The building itself has a Grade
II listing and has a wonderful frontage overlooking the busy streets.
Inside the decor and atmosphere are unique being both comfortable
and modern, yet being relaxed and friendly. You could happily
sit here for several hours consuming a glass of wine or beer,
a freshly made healthy meal from our chef Mr Lee Good's inspirational
menu, followed by a choice of coffee's from our extensive range
of beans. An ideal place to watch the world go by whilst socialising
with friends.
